From Tirrenic Coast: you can take A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria and then SS 407 following Metaponto direction and passing by the crossroad to Matera through Ferrandina (SS7).
From the Ionic Coast: you can take SS 106 Taranto-Reggio Calabria, and then the exit to Matera passing through Metaponto – SS407 and at last the crossroad to Matera through Ferrandina (SS7).
From the Adriatic Coast: you can take A14 Bologna-Taranto and then the exit to Bari Nord. Follow SS96 towards Altamura- Matera and al last SS 99 from Altamura to Matera.
